The recent surge of interest in community gardens, many of which are located on city and county-owned land, may have a beneficial effect on adjacent property owners, according to parks administrators, real estate brokers and community members.

The Denison Municipal Utilities board on Tuesday voted to renew its lease with the Missouri & Mississippi Resource Conservation Development, Inc. (M&M Divide RC&D Inc.) for the community gardens located on DMU property south of the DMU water treatment plant.
